Ugo Lestelle is a young winemaker based in the Saint-Chinian appellation area. There he has the highest vineyards (+600 m above sea level). His vineyards consist mainly of old vines. The combination of the altitude, its old vines and the terroir (slate, limestone and sandstone) make Ugo a very unique combo for making wine compared to some other winemakers. Ugo likes to make his wines 'à la beaujolaise' in carbonic maceration.
